  My Wife is demanding that I stop coming to this board.

  okay, i am in a bit of a dilemma.

  since i believe in honesty between marriage mates, i have been telling my wife about this board and my participation on it.

  i feel it is only right so that she won't feel like i have anything to hide.

  She's been getting coached by a an elder most likely and being that he has the power of god he takes

  precedence and control over both you and your wife and even your marriage for that matter.

  The inter-net is full of exposing and revealing knowledge about the corrupt WTS.

  and its seen as a direct threat to them. Your wife's own threat of cutting off your inter-net access

  tells a tale of a lack of respect toward your personal endeavor of finding out the truth on the truth.

  Is she playing a role as a wife and partner or is she tying to play a role of a mother disciplining

  a naughty little boy ?

  So Everything Was Going Good Until...

  i drew a blank on a particular question.

  i basically had a talk with my parents over the weekend.

  they've been jw's since the 50's and pops been an elder since 83. so i knew it was gonna be hard, but i basically told them to their face that i am no longer going to be a jw and gave a few reasons why.

  Trying to live in accordance with mystical theology can really mess up a person's psychology and balance can't it.

  Living within reality is definitely more challenging but at least you have the knowledge and confidence you are real.

  I love seeing idiots in suspense for an idiotic reason

  Seeing idiots in suspense for no reason is not anything like as much fun to watch, so come on GB - whatya waiting for?

  It may be alright to watch and be humored by all of this if you don't have any family involved but when you do

  it can be somewhat depressing and bothersome.

  Its quite perceivable though that these intellectually dishonest assholes in Brooklyn or wherever they are

  are going to try and keep this idiocy going if not for anything but themselves, unfortunately.

  i was diagnosed with rapid cycling bipolar disorder early this year.

  The JWS religion among the many that are out there in particular the apocalyptic ones such as the JWS

  can instill a sorted amount of anxieties and depressions. In the simplest terms the religion does not believe or support

  any intervention of help from the medical psychological help that is obtainable from a professional in practice.

  In other words they perceive mental illness as a lack of spirituality and they blame the individual for this.

  They wont and cant recognize the fact that people have these problems due to many times of physiological imbalances,

  rather their explanation is the individual has been intervened by demonic and evil spirits.

  Hence If you draw yourself closer to god's organization those spirits will quickly disappear

  and you'll be healthy and happy again.

  Medieval in concept but that what happens when people endear themselves with ancient mythology.

  Your mother is just doing what she has been indoctrinated to do and that is of course to sell the WTS.

  mythology to the public which creates financial support to the publishing corporation.

  i remember back in the day my mother, along with all her "friends," being completely disgusted and voicing said disgust, over what she felt were hypocritical people and jesus "lovers" such as tv evangelists, people who could do nothing but talk about jesus, people who were all about their version of christianity, especially the ones encountered in service that tried to instruct her versus listening to "the truth" she was "sharing" with them.

  now, she had these opinions obviously because she was a devout jw, and especially at this time of year she was very vocal.

  good god, it was pretty much 6 weeks of loathing coming out of her mouth at the end of every year.. do you find yourself, as an adult, with the same irriations but just for different reasons?

  To be a god or not that is the question,

  I always laugh when you read these staunch rules of immorality set out by god himself when the

  bible shows that god approved rape and murder of innocent people, even children.

  Fear and ignorance is what puts power into mens hands, then let fear and ignorance prevail

  Here we have some dumb uneducated assholes trying to play god with all of the accumulated power

  and trying their darnedest to emulate the identical social morals of an ancient culture that existed 2000 years ago

  a cult is a religion that is said to be unorthodox or that emphasizes devotion according to prescribed ritual.many cults follow a living human leader,not jesus or god.and they live a part from the rest of human society.their meetings are in hiding, not just anyone can attend.you have to be a member.

  a long time bethel member came home a few months ago.

  he had been at bethel for 20 plus years.

  last weekend he took his life by a gun.

  Supposedly he was just one of the individuals that they let go in Brooklyn, this corporation is only there to feed itself and exploit people

  in the process. When they are finished with using people they just let them go on their own, without any financial support.

  I doubt long term Bethel workers accumulate a good pension when they leave, leaving individuals with no medical coverage

  and a lot of worries and despair. Shame really
